  1. It's commonly requested and they are aware of it. I think I saw one of the devs say they are working on it. Wouldn't hurt to bring it up on the forum again.

  2. Index local minimum wage to median rent so that median rent takes no more than like 30% of full time minimum wage income. Let the business owners and landlords fight it out. Align more interests to curb rental costs and raise wages.

  3. Raising the minimum wage indirectly raises other wages as compensation patterns readjust to accommodate the new floor.

  4. It's all fun and games until the fire tornado spawns on top of you--bringing an instant death quicker than the warning of your impending doom was.

  5. Last night we had a civilian evacuation on Hellmire. We had fire tornados on the evac door for 7 minutes straight. We couldn't release any civilians because they'd burn up on the way in. Not to say we didn't try, of course. Lot of civilian death deductions.

  6. It would be so cool to see eagle one whipping around a walker and seeing it face plant.

  7. Nah, it would be more hilarious if the helldiver had to personally run the cable around the legs like a big metal maypole.

  8. "A rushed game is forever bad, but a delayed game should probably take a look at their middle management if they keep announcing games too early"

  9. Upper management. Release dates are going to be set at the highest levels for corporate reasons. This delay is probably something Martin had to fight tooth and nail for so that his team could actually complete the work demanded of them

  10. Putting aside whatever you think about his policies, there is a huge right wing smear campaign against him that floods social media with misinformation and half truths.

  11. Yeah, I can't wait for bad faith actors to waste everyone's time and money on another bogus recall because this guy wants to treat people like humans.

  12. LP and some vatnik-tubers were arguing about the T-14. LP got very pissed and then got very pissed, made a clap-back video. Chieftain decided to wade in and make his own video on it. LP lashed out at Chieftain in the comments, but pretty quickly realized he fucked up, said as much and apologized to Chieftain. LP got therapy, is drying out, and really regrets the entire string of events.

  13. What's funny is that the Chieftain didn't want to get involved but his viewers kept berating him until he said something. So he made a video urging everyone to calm down and highlighting the limits of public knowledge on the matter. At one point he had a section where he suggested that LP be aware that his new position in the community comes with responsibilities of sourcing and behavior, and offered future collaboration. LP was unfortunately drunk and took this as a personal attack.

  14. Mount & Blade games have always been primarily single player. Add to that Bannerlord's persistent multiplayer crashes (that may or may not have been fixed by now), and that most people playing multiplayer are probably using mods and may not show up unless you have the mod installed.

  15. I did not even know there was a multiplayer until reading this.

  16. On the launch window there is a multiplayer option at the top. I believe they launch separately so that you can better manage which mods are being used when, though anyone feel free to correct me if there is a different reason.

  17. In terms of sheer numbers, 27% of LA county is 7 times the population as 60% of Louisville county. So we have way more Trump voters here than there, this despite us having way more Biden voters than Trump voters.

  18. The way I usually put it is that the LA metropolitan area (LA-San Bernardino-Riverside-Orange Co, etc) has roughly as many people as the entire state of Florida, which is one of the more populated states in the union.

  19. I think it’s terrible when they show maps of red and blue states or counties. Even in the most republican state, Oklahoma, a third of the people voted for Biden in 2020. I think it really divides us as a country.

  20. The electoral college, and by extension the senate, is the greatest flaw in the constitution.

  21. This argument was rife around 2016/2017. I remember seeing it almost weekly at one point. I'm glad it has since become less common. Probably got patched out of the conservabots' firmware because it was becoming too easy for us to debunk it.

  22. This has been a standard talking point on the right since the 00s. About a decade after the fall of communism the "democrats are communists" rally cry started to get stale. What better way to freshen up the propaganda and distract from growing fascist elements in your own party than to lean heavily into the same lie the Nazi's used a long time ago.

  23. Lee did not even start leading the Army of Northern Virginia until 1862.

  24. Yeah, the entirety of Lee's effective battlefield command was two years. He took command of the army in June 1862 and Grant nailed his foot to the floor with the Siege of Petersburg starting in June 1864.

  25. In our games I usually manage the pantry and everyone is explicitly forbidden from eating the late game canned goods unless it's the first week and we are literally starving to death.

  26. Chess is like golf in that it's most fun when none of the players know what they are doing.

  27. Chess is like golf in that it's most fun when none of the players know what they are doing.

  28. OIP says:

in chess every suboptimal move creates weakness. plus, most good moves create pressure. advantage snowballs rapidly.

  29. This is why people like Chess Simp are fun to watch. High level player, but each game has a set of arbitrary rules he has to follow which makes his moves look like bad player randomness.

  30. Bombing thing seems like a stretch. It's a cult. They like to be located near vulnerable people. Plenty of potential new recruits in awful states of mind around hospitals

  31. A while back they actually fabricated a bombing threat on themselves. People figured it out immediately because 1) the language they used in the video described scientology as a religion when no one who hates scientology enough to bomb them would say that and 2) they immediately tried to call attention to the bomb threat by releasing the video they had "pulled" from the internet, except their version was much higher quality that the version they said they had downloaded.

  32. Those who can bang the facts, bang the table. Prove I'm the idiot by showing how that article well and truly "owns the chuds", or just admit you're a few baked beans short of a full deck.

  33. The article, and the event it describes, are almost entirely focused on repeated layoffs in the industry despite record profits. Everything you are harping on here, every bit of imagined enlightenment reinforced by your echo chamber you have about the article is covered by a half-sentence throwaway line. That is how I know you didn't fucking read the article and that you are not intellectually capable to have a conversation on these topics.

  34. One, just because an opinion piece article states record profits were made, doesn't make it so. I looked up some of the Devs squealing into the sky. One of them was a Narrative Director for "Pigeon Simulator, a "physics sandbox roguelike"', I wonder how that studio could have ever gotten closed down.

  35. At no point in this entire exchange did you demonstrate that you knew what you were talking about or were capable of overcoming that deficiency. Instead you demonstrated multiple times that you are stupid enough to fall for the new version of gamergate. It stands to reason that if you are old enough you would have fallen for the first gamergate too, and boy howdy those folks were not bright.

  36. HOW ARE THESE IDIOTS MISSING THE FUCKING OBVIOUS MEGATONS OF SATIRE IN THIS GAME?!!?!

  37. Conservatives in general, and reactionaries specifically, are famously shit at media literacy.

  38. This has been going on since the game was released in early access. People let their anticipation get away from them and expected their version of "the perfect game". It's hard to build a positive community when every entitled asshole feels it is their responsibility to announce the game is dead and the developers stole everyone's money every time there is an official communication, starting from the moment they had access to the game. What has been particularly grating is the flurry of forum or reddit posts that consistently pop up saying the game is dead and asking if it will ever receive an update when the game was literally updated the previous week. Like a shitty, obnoxious clock that is set to the wrong time so it isn't even right twice a day.

  39. I remember under the old system wars were usually all or nothing. If you lost a war your entire empire was dismantled and there was not really any chance for a comeback. The new system made it more likely that wars would be for relatively limited gains, allowing more opportunities for dynamic push pull with other empires. More recently people have had a lot more influence sitting around to make claims, so it's once again possible to take entire swaths of enemy territory.
