  1. If OP doesn't do this, I will be heavily upset. This is the perfect response to such betrayal.

  2. Dadā€™s a millionaire. Probably not going to be the situation.

  3. They're all substandard without an involved family, it's kinda a secret most people don't know. Visit someone in a nursing home and just take a peek in the rooms you walk past, some will be beautiful well decorated cozy and happy vibes with pictures guests visitors personal touches etc., others will be a bed with some bastard waiting to die lol

  4. If youā€™re a millionaire you arenā€™t living in a nursing home.

  5. I was kind of hoping this would be another Tesla one.

  6. Mostly pollution. Car engines emit all kinds of nasty stuff in addition to CO2 and a lot of it is not particularly light. CO2 is significantly heavier than air. As in it doesnā€™t disperse all that well. Itā€™s why cities have such bad air quality. So when you sit running an engine you have a pretty significant impact on the quality of the air in the immediate area.

  7. The correct answer is to not have 14 lanes. More lanes will never make traffic better.

  8. Well thatā€™s not true. Adding lanes does increase the capacity of a roadway. There may be better options such as offering good public transportation. But bigger roads can handle more traffic.

  9. Pretty sure is fake/not a real road. 401 in Toronto is one of the widest in the the world at 14-16 lanes. Itā€™s split into 4 sections. 2 eastbound and 2 westbound. Each direction is split into ā€œexpressā€ and ā€œcollectorsā€ so if you are going a long way you move to the express section then move back to collectors when the sign tells you your exit is in the next block. That way you only deal with 4 lanes at a time and the through traffic is separated from the on and off traffic.

  10. Those things get awful mileage. How would they carry enough diesel to get anywhere? Or gas...probably diesel. Also, that brings into question where they even GET their fuel? They can't refine anymore, are they just IL using whatever depot they can find and when it runs out so be it?

  11. You could hypothetically refine ethanol in a last of us situation. Manny military vehicles are designed to run on it in a pinch as well.

  12. Wyoming isnā€™t know for corn production.

  13. Well sure but that doesnā€™t mean it wonā€™t grow. Iā€™ve grown corn in Ontario Canada.

  14. Man I might get hate for this but I LOVED the community building aspect of Fallout 4. And 3 is one of my favourite games of all time. It was the first big open world game I played and nothing has ever given me the same wow factor.

  15. Play dumb. Gather evidence. Youā€™ll need it if you are going to go the divorce route.

  16. Nice set up. Where did you get the drill holder and the other black attachments?

  17. Drill holder is from mad tools. Other black attachments are wall control. Rest is just cheap pegboard parts from hd.

  18. Itā€™s actually a shelf. Just thin galvanized. Eventually Iā€™ll move it down and add a hardboard or MDF top. The table is made out of metal system 123 shelving. Iā€™m using a bunch of it for storage and to build out the wardrobe as well.

  19. Now that the beaver has killed the tree, how is it going to use it?

  20. Really do you not know? They build damns on rivers to create small ponds that they manage the water level of. They do this in order to create a safe space to store food (underwater) and create underwater entrances to their lodges (built of mud and sticks).

  21. There is no way the beaver can drag that tree to the water and maneuver it to the dam area. Where I live, in a forest, beavers are doing a lot of damage. Thinking of having the DNR come out to trap and relocate them.

  22. Satisfactory Rimworld Space engineers Kerbal space program Surviving mars 7 Day to Die Last of Us Minecraft

  23. Thanks! Itā€™s small but been a dream for a long time haha. Layout is pretty rough right now. Will get it dialed in over time.

  24. I should have been obvious. Like you said, the carbon tax only went up by a few cents earlier this week.

  25. And yet. There are a dozen comments like yours that arenā€™t jokes lol

  26. Huh? Iā€™m talking about this comment section never said anything about your comment history.

  27. Around 400 but the recent leap in gas prices will see this month and moving forward around 500. I did look into the cost last year to buying a Tesla but I donā€™t have a car payment so atm itā€™s financially better to stay with the car I have. Although not by much.

  28. That tracks ya. Itā€™s not a direct comparison as Iā€™m on Monopoly money up here. But I pay about $800cad for my current car (polestar 2) and if I drive as much as you Iā€™d be spending around $70-$110 a month is electricity. Around $650 usd total. That said insurance is also probably higher for the new electric car vs the old gas car. But also less maintenance on the new than the old I would think.

  29. As someone who lives downtown in a major city this is crazy to me how much this bothers everyone. Like itā€™s not actually blocking OP at all. I get that itā€™s over the line and he has room to pull forward but Jesus. Everyone wants to eat this guy alive when he hasnā€™t even really inconvenienced anyone.

  30. Donā€™t listen to that guy you nailed it first time. Two ways to live in life. Youā€™re doing it the right way.

  31. Wait for real? You canā€™t carry a pocket knife in the UK? Thatā€™s totally insane.

  32. Midas is the only chain Iā€™ll go to. Never had a problem with them. And they seem to know how to do an alignment when no one else does.

  33. If you mean a heater argument or fight then I agree. My partner and I disagree on things but itā€™s always a pretty simple and straightforward conversation. Never had a fight.

  34. People from countries in Africaā€¦or Europeā€¦or Asiaā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦..or South Americaā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦basically never claim Americans whose ancestry traces back to their country. Now, granted, the response to that would be the African Americans largely descend from people brought here against their will, sold by their own countrymen, but that doesnā€™t matter to the people in those regions.

  35. This kinda makes sense tho. Canada is largely the same. North American. As it is today is recently settled by a diverse group of Europeans. We donā€™t have a ton of our own culture or traditions yet so people lean more on what their ancestors had.

  36. Camp somewhere that you have to carry all your stuff. Watch how quickly you donā€™t need half the stuff you thought you did. You can then return to car camping with this new found knowledge.

  37. Still not the same as sitting in a living room, it's still a reclined type position

  38. Yup. Also different from being in a kitchen, garage, or airplane.

  39. OK you are obviously abnormal to jump to those random exkreme examples that have nothing to do with the conversation lol

  40. Well that was before you edited your comment. Obviously a bed room is different from a living room but without any additional context that doesnā€™t really mean anything. So my comment reflected that.

  41. Update. Spoke to another neighbour and got some more info. Sounds like one of the houses on the laneway has claimed some form of ownership over it and basically locked everyone out. Someone took him to court and it didnā€™t go anywhere. Some local politician got involved but again nothing came of it. Sounds like itā€™s quite the neighbourhood controversy unfortunately.

  42. Maybe contact Jack Lakey (AKA The Fixer) at The Star. He might be able to look into it and get it resolved. You could also try Globalā€™s Sean Oā€™Shea.

  43. Thanks for the help. Whatā€™s a good rule of thumb for labor calculation when getting started? I am fairly generous because I mainly depend on referrals for work and want to leave folks pleased with the work and value.

  44. If doing this itā€™s best to make it clear that you are giving a discount. Out the full high price in your estimate and then add a discount line item to make that clear. You can also go a step further and tell customers youā€™re happy to do it discounted and only ask they help spread the work in return.
