What tools and parts do I need to replace the bottom bracket, freehub body, and bearings on a 1999 Giant TCR 1T? I don't even know the names of all the parts I want to replace. It looks like they are a bb-5500 and an fh-5500. I have a chain whip and cassette lockring tool. Maybe a crank puller?

Octalink v1 bottom bracket
I was able to get one of the crank arms off after figuring out the tips on the cwp-7 are swappable. I think I've messed up the threads on the other side. When I try screwing in the cwp-7, it goes in kind of crooked and won't go in any farther. Should I force it in there? Is there a way to correct the threads? Should I just use one of those crank pullers with 3 arms that go around the back of the crank?

Maybe it would help to have a plan. Plan your exercise routine maybe 4-6 different lifts for that day and go walk around and find out where each of the stations/machines are for those exercises at that gym before you start. If someone is using one of the stations just do one of the other exercises first and come back to the other lift.
