A.) They never said they were a Niantic employee. They’re not, just someone who was brought in to provide direct feedback and beta testing from an outside perspective. As was made clear during the interview. You sure you actually read it?
Can you remember or try to imagine any such meta? I imagine that without levitate the double weakness to ground hinders a lot, even with electric moves helping it with water. I'm not a regular pvp player so maybe I dont have all scenarios in my head like in the MSG
I imagine it would have play in Electric Cup for sure. Any other format with Water and Fire types as a Fire that can clap back Waters. Just off the top of my head.
If you're flush with candy and dust for it, then sure, it has its uses in Master League. Nature's Madness allows it to actually beat Dialga (regular and Origin) in 2shield and some other fun new stuff.
Damn Necrozma getting upgrades from the get go. Niantic is going all out during this year’s GoFest. Although I think they will debut fusion during Ultra Unlock after all the in person events ends as a separate big release feature.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about mining like this over the years, it’s that thing being coded in does NOT mean imminent release, even when it makes sense to release alongside something known coming up soon. I could fill a whole subreddit with all the examples from over the years….

So, how good is Necrozma?
Impossible to say until we see its moveset, and I suppose whether it can fuse. The only thing found about it in GO thus far is the stats.
