You don't mention where you're located but I'd imagine you will need 1 or more contractor's licenses (roofing and solar contractors license). To get that you're going to have to prove experience. How do you think you're going to get worker's comp insurance while in high school? Not a debbie downer but as a contractor you just don't doing installations without proper license, bonding, and insurance. Best way to get sued and even arrested. I'd also avoid hiring a team and turn them loose while you focus on office stuff. Office stuff is what you do after the crew goes home. Your crew will make you or break you and if you're not on top of them it will not end up in your favor. My suggestion is work for a roofing/solar outfit for a spell and learn what and what not to do. Witness what happens when the owner is not around....
