  1. We like going to the eel river in Rio Dell, you can park right on the riverfront its not usually super crowded and it stays reasonably shallow til about halfway across the river. We took our toddler last year as a 6 month old and it was great to be able to leave all our supplies in the trunk and just pop the back open to access all the food and diapers

  2. The PCP refusing to touch specialist meds is fairly common, there’s a reason specialists are who folks are sent to for specific issues beyond the scope of the PCP

  3. This is particularly relevant as more doctors start trying to make these decisions for us, women need to know how to report the discrimination and who to report it too

  4. 70 Hours, son is a quadriplegic from a motor vehicle accident

  5. That’s definitely not enough hours for a quadriplegic, I’ve worked for three over the years all of whom had in excess of 150hours/week between IHSS and WPCS Talk to the social worker and see if your son qualifies for WPCS to increase the hours

  6. Yes because people are less likely to fight a ticket when they have to travel back to another state to fight the ticket.

  7. No and we aren’t allowed to claim hours while clients are hospitalized or in long term care

  8. You have to list any income your currently receiving even if you previously reported that income

  9. This person has rotted their brain past the point of cognition, don’t waste your time. Karma will come for them

  10. Find an in-demand field and transition. I dated a traveling nurse at St. Joe’s last year for a few months. She was making $12k a month, plus they paid for her furnished apartment. A friend who is an ultrasound tech is making close to $140k/ yr. Good, licensed tradesmen have no shortage of work in Humboldt. Middle and upper management positions with corporate chains pay well enough- not enough to afford a mansion, but certainly more than the burger flippers at In-N-Out.

  11. So your answer is you don’t think the people who work in the food industry, grocery stores, local shops etc deserve to afford shelter, food, and other basic necessities? Those should be reserved for only certain people who hold “worthy jobs”. Kindly go take a long walk off a short pier, or shove a cactus where the sun doesn’t shine. May karma come back on you 10 fold 🖕🏻

  12. Only if you’re a live in provider for family, anyone who works for a client they’re unrelated to or don’t live with they tax us just the same as everyone else

  13. When i try to request on the portal it says my recipient is ineligible for that pay period. I imagine if i call the front desk they’ll just forward me to my payroll manger. Again

  14. They only backdate pay by 90 days as far as I’m aware

  15. I disagree. Internet is practically a utility at this point. He can't try to find gig work/extra income and have no internet and a crappy phone plan. He needs to make a budget and set up autopay for bills to avoid late fees but he definitely shouldn't rush to get rid of his connection to the job market and I don't understand why anyone would suggest that.

  16. It’s the dinosaurs who think you’ll find jobs in person by harassing local business that suggest nonsense like this

  17. Hot take: why are people allowing these massive amounts to accrue? Must not need them that bad.

  18. You clearly have never heard of back pay being issued?

  19. If you want any kind of useful advice a bit of info on what kind of foods you’ll eat as a picky eater would help :)

  20. Unfortunately the answer is Costco as another person already said

  21. I’d say this one cause it just kept happening over and over again….

  22. Isn’t he the judge who got into trouble cause it came out he was asking DV victims what they did to deserve it?

  23. When he rides the bus home, who is at home with him until you get home? Nobody, right? Hmmm.

  24. They completely do have power tripping teachers who give out detentions for asinine reasons like sneezing, or coughing or even having asthma attacks. Your experience is not the end all be all of how the world works, and positions of authority often attracts those who abuse that authority and power.

  25. For what it’s worth sushi spot has also supposedly start hemorrhaging staff since they cut the servers pay with the new no tipping switch to a set percentage mandatory thing so they’re probably hiring

  26. The whole idea of what a tip is is so out of focus anymore it’s ridiculous. You tip for service. If someone serves you food, if you get something delivered, something like that. Going to pick up the food at 99% of restaurants means you pay the cost of the food plus tax and that’s it. Tipping for picking up food is absolutely ridiculous.

  27. Let’s not forget that tips are legally protected and have to go to the employees who earned them, this new surcharge has no such obligation and the odds are it’s just going to line the owners pockets.

  28. Yeah. I tip 20-25% usually. 18% is a bargain. And I feel like if I get exceptional service I’ll try to leave my usual 25.

  29. Good luck they announced they aren’t accepting tips beyond their new surcharge.

  30. Thank you, but there’s a process and they can’t help me for a night or two.

  31. They don’t actually help most of the people who request services from them, frequently try to give those who do receive assistance rotten food, steal medically necessary resources including blood sugar monitoring equipment, insulin, and prescription medication, and they will use resources on active addicts while throwing out anyone who questions them for allowing elicit drug use

  32. Your generalization of hunters couldn't be further from the truth. We are some of the most respectful people afield, understanding public access and the multi-use designation of our public lands better than most. Please educate yourself and don't hold hunters in such blatant contempt. Without hunters, you wouldn't have any public land to access or wildlife to view.

  33. How does hunters killing wildlife mean they’re responsible for us having access to public land or wildlife to view?

  34. That’s plainly untrue, hostile and power tripping police frequently order uncompliant people be held for “psychological evaluation” for no reason other than to ruin their week and cost them money.
