  1. When I was working as a cna I would only use soap if people had bowel movements that were all up in there because the ā€œcleansing creamā€ we otherwise used did nothing but spread it all around and make a bigger mess so there was no way to properly clean them without spending at least 30 min wiping, whereas soap would actually remove the bm not just spread it all around. Iā€™d overthink about using soap sometimes but it was literally the only way to effectively clean people in a timely manner. Like I couldnt spend 30-45 min wiping someone with cream while they have liquid diarrhea everywhere because then Iā€™d end up unintentionally neglecting other people. And Iā€™d be more worried about bm in their vag giving them an infection than soap.. but if someone just peed Iā€™d never use soap just the cleansing cream.

  2. Lol I feel like I see more girls dressed like the second part anyways šŸ’€

  3. Congrats! I was so relieved after I passed both exams:) I had to wait like 9 months to take the skills test due to it repeatedly being cancelled šŸ˜

  4. Oh yikes, good thing youā€™re done now! Howā€™s being a CNA been ??

  5. Good! Very difficult and stressful at first but it gets easier with time. And Iā€™ve learned stressing doesnā€™t helpšŸ¤£ I was told it would take around 6 months to really get it down and that was pretty accurate. I sucked at time management and prioritizing tasks at first but I am decent at both now.

  6. You are right it will not solve the problem. It may temporarily make you feel better, but in my experiences I keep using it to temporarily feel better and by the time I actually have to face the negative feelings they are stronger and harder to deal with

  7. It is possible, however it may be hard to achieve. I tried for months to lucid dream and was only successful a handful of times, however I did not have much control and they didnā€™t last long. My older sister told me casually one day that she used to lucid dream while tanning every time we went to the lake in the summer, and she had her own world and complete control and that it was always easy for her. Sheā€™d just like still for 15 minutes and start lucid dreaming. I was kinda shocked lol. My little sister always used to talk about her ā€œdreamerā€ growing up, and how she could decide what to dream about, etc. I didnā€™t believe it until later realizing she was lucid dreaming. So itā€™s definitely possible, however I think it comes more naturally to some people, and some people have to try a lot harder and have less success. I am sure over time you can get better at it with experience and practice, I kind of just gave up trying for a while tho.

  8. I used to get super anxious before shifts, and would look at the schedule and try to predict what assignment Iā€™d be on and etcā€¦ the thing that helped me was realizing stressing before hand would not change anything, and I couldnā€™t always accurately predict where Iā€™d be working. I started to just assume I would be on my least favorite assignment and weā€™d be short staffed- then most of the time I was pleasantly surprised, and if that was the case I had already been mentally prepared for it.

  9. I swear itā€™s because our job integrates into all of the jobs.

  10. For real they get so impatient if someone is in their way while they are pushing the laundry bins šŸ˜‚ one time a nurse yelled at one of them to wait a minute, cuz the laundry lady told her they were in her way, while the nurse was adjusting someoneā€™s catheter cuz it was being pulled onšŸ’€

  11. Iā€™ll be the one to say it, youā€™re not going to waste time writing down something for a patient. If they ask for something do it on the spot.

  12. Okay, but sometimes it is helpful to write stuff down, like if you donā€™t have time at the moment or if itā€™s something you need to report to the nurse. If I donā€™t immediately see the nurse when I leave the room, I may forget someone was asking for a pain pill or something like that. But then I frequently look at my paper so it reminds me.

  13. 5, already my favorite pen. If I could only use one specific type of this pen for the rest of my life it would be the .38 tip

  14. I donā€™t change unsoiled/dry briefs, occasionally I will in my last round if they have been dry and clean the entire shift.

  15. Washington, LTCF, $20 including the $1 shift differential for evening. 1 year

  16. So, you were willing to allow someone to come get you and THEY decided your location was inconvenient? That sounds backward that youā€™re being held responsible for a decision the facility made in the end. Unless Iā€™m understanding wrong.

  17. Iā€™ve had to run out of a room in the middle of washing someoneā€™s dentures to go pee in the bathroom at the nurses station (only like 3 rooms away). Iā€™ve definitely thought about it before
