  1. Phantom sensations are a thing. Apparently amputees get them fairly often too.

  2. For how much I agree, it's a bit of a complex situation. In our situation, we need to enhance the feminine traits and hide the masculine traits in order to pass, which is why the Barbie doll style is the most recommended choice.

  3. It took me over a year on HRT, laser hair removal, and growing my hair out until I could pull off the tomboy look. Even then, I often wear mascara just to give my eyelashes a little extra help (also tinted face sunscreen, but everyone should wear face sunscreen anyway, so that barely counts). The tomboy look is inherently the idea of a feminine looking person dressing masculinely. If you don't look feminine, dressing masculine is just going to make you look like a boy.

  4. You. did. nothing. wrong. First of all, you don't have to have a reason for divorce, but you actually have a pretty good reason! Infidelity is a deal breaker for a lot of people, and that's a healthy boundary to set! It doesn't matter at all that you took your time about it. You waited until you could leave him and did. You should not feel bad for any of it!

  5. I was an OSU undergrad but I'm a grad student at Kent State now, do we scare you guys that much that you won't enter a building we're in?

  6. I'm drunk and it took me too long to realize that Selma is a fucking queen of comedy. I was trying to take everything literally and make it make sense at the same time.

  7. I'm sober and was also confused! I thought someone harassed her online, then went out and struck her with a car!

  8. It doesn't blind you any more than looking at the sun typically does though. Anyone doing ancient nautical navigation with a primitive sextant had the same eye damage.

  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think virtually everyone is a shade of bi. There's a lot of gay/straight people out there who are actually Kinsey 5s and 1s, but feel pressured to "pick a side"

  10. Its crazy going to New York or some other city where I'll see the health inspector rating prominently displayed. I don't think I have ever seen anything like that for restaurants near where I live, and some of them goddamn need that rating in the window, let me tell ya.

  11. Yeah, it really disturbs me that it took me until 37 to figure it out. I consider myself a pretty self aware and reflective person. I think of myself as someone who does what I think is right and that I want to do.

  12. That's what I think about a lot too, I figured it out at 29, but like, I could have realized it way earlier if I let myself. My best friend is also trans (ftm). He transitioned when I was 23. I would ask him about it, and he would tell me stuff like "being a guy just feels right for me" and I would marvel at that statement because I couldn't conceive of the idea of feeling that way about my gender. I often wonder about what would life be like if I had realized then, when he did. Looking back, there were moments I was so. fucking. close. to getting it...but instead I closed it off, and didn't start thinking about it again seriously until 5 years later.

  13. Well so thing is Mint and CK have very similar and overlapping features and running Mint has 3.6million users vs CK has 36 million users.

  14. Ray: It actually was a huge disappointment... I trained so hard and so long!

  15. If God would send you to hell for his decision to make you a girl, is that a fair and just God?

  16. Im a girl who's sexuality essentially didn't change from HRT. However, I will say that there's no reason to worry. Your sexuality is what it is, and maybe it will change, maybe it won't but you'll still be you. Have you asked yourself why you're so worried about it changing?

  17. Pure supposition, but I would bet good money this man votes for people who try to make those same pills illegal..,

  18. My ex girlfriend threw a house party specifically to introduce us.

  19. Right? My ex and I did not part acrimoniously - we just realised after a year that while we loved each other, we did not LOVE each other, and it slipped really sweetly into a natural friendship.

  20. My highschool best friend was an ex, and my current best friend is also an ex! Its the best!
