I will fully contest CdP. Sublime expressions of the AOC can be had for $75-$100. See what that will get you in 1st/2nd growth Bordeaux, Premier or Grand Cru Burgundy, or even the Cote Rotie or Hermitage.
Unfortunately the rustler probably doesn’t hit the graphics mark but that would be my pick. Dps koala would strike a nice balance, but the durability probably isn’t there. People speak highly of the unleashed but I haven’t skied it. I’m tempted to say ripstick too, and it’s on the lighter end but it sounds like that’s not a huge priority Is there a reason you wouldn’t want a newer qst? A bit on the heavier side but otherwise fits the bill.

If you think instructors are making 45% of 1600$ you are wrong. No way in hell an instructor makes 750 dollars in a day from Vail. Not even close, no matter how experienced you are.
You're comparing Vail to Big Sky. He IS an instructor at Big Sky, so I am sure he knows what he is making. Not all mountains pay the same and Vail is notoriously greedy.
I'm comparing it to Vail true. But I've worked for multiple different skischools. I'm getting 45% now in Switzerland with a management function. Instructors do not get paid that well at all and need higher qualifications which require years of training to get close to 45%. Generally instructors earn between 20-30% of the lesson cost especially true for Austria where a level 2 makes around 15%. Instructors pay for their lift passes often and make little to no money considering their gear is getting more and more expensive. It's hard to establish yourself enough to be earning 45% and even then it truly depends on how many lessons you get assigned.
