  1. You’re a DIAMOND playing on a microwave and using ur toes to press buttons. 😭 bro 1) if anyone talks shit on u, they are wrong and u are better than them cause you are at their rank w the most RIDICULOUS self induced handicaps lol and 2) invest in a pc or Atleast like a 300 dollar Xbox series s and use a controller

  2. It’s always 1 or 2 ranks above what u currently are lol, I swear I remember being like “dude once I hit diamond then I’m running with the big dogs” now I think I might consider myself good once I hit gc3 lol

  3. This whole thread downplaying this guys shot is nuts to me, like yea ofc it’s not a realistic in-game shot because you’d never have the boost or time to do something like this, but the car control to do this is crazy lmaooo, and that car control definitely translates into his games in other places

  4. Calling it a "shot" when he was basically just playing keepie uppies and then did a plat level air dribble at the end

  5. LMAOO, those “keepie uppies” demonstrate a higher level of aerial car control I’ve ever seen in my lobbies lol

  6. For me it took very little time to get used to Xbox controller from ds4 but now that I’m trying to go back to ds4 (my Xbox controller is aging hard) it’s taking a ton of time, my hands start aching after more than 20 minutes

  7. Yea bro same deal w me, using the Xbox controller my hands are like aching I was like wtf lol, but must just be getting use to holding it ig

  8. Should just be a week or 2 honestly. When I switched from DS4 to Dual Sense it took about a week.

  9. If you are at a rank consistently then you’re as good as the ppl in that rank at that mode, they aren’t holding you back

  10. Lower ranks wanting to learn a mechanic thts very difficult (like a plat learning flip resets) is OKAY lol…

  11. Season 8 😭😭😭 dangggg son that quickly became one of my favorite features and now it’s gone for a minute lmaooo

  12. Honestly if you NEVER double commit (so like even if it should be your ball and your tm8 goes just let him take it and leave), hit the ball w power everytime towards the opponent net, and always make sure that there’s someone between the ball and your net at all times you’ll rank up

  13. You may play 1s inefficiently. Watch some pro matches, ApparentlyJack has a YouTube channel where he uploads high level gameplay. If I have correctly distilled down those matches, it seems to be a game of boost.

  14. No you’re totally right, which is pretty cool cause I started incorporating more things like boost steals and well timed demos in my 3’s games because of 1’s. I’ve been watching a lot of Flakes 1v1s I think he breaks down a lot of the game sense side of the mode.

  15. Play hoops. More of a focus on mechanics but way more fun than 1s.

  16. That guy sounds like a jerk, but remember some 2s or 3s players almost never play 1s, so a GC in 3s could literally be gold in 1s.

  17. Some guy just replied to it and said it’s like eating vegetables, nobody wants to do it but it’s good for you, also there’s always that one weird guy who likes spinach lol

  18. Bruh I learned how to flip reset in c3 and I’m just learning Mustys now lmaoo, diamonds are goated

  19. Not goated at all this took me like an hour to do in free play lol

  20. People mostly have rotating down at this rank, its just more about adjusting to your mate each game. Sometimes you get a passer, an over aggressive player, or a more defensive player and it's about switching up your playstyle to suit both your team and the type of opponents you're playing against.

  21. Listen dude, all these homies telling you not to air dribble are wrong lol, if that’s what you want to do then you practice air dribbling, sure it be easier to get down ur car control first but if you want to learn air dribbling go for it

  22. Bro me too lmaoooo I was boutta be like C2?? I can’t break outta D2 half the time lol

  23. I feel like I learned how to rank up through just watching YT videos, but now that I’m gc I really don’t know how to keep getting better

  24. Watching YT is a very good way of learning. I just wish there were content creators out there that got attention even in the lower ranks. I was tempted to create a series when I was in champ all the way to ssl so people can see the progression and how the gameplay changes. Yes, ultimately the difference between gc1 and gc2 or higher is consistency. Another thing is speed, if I were to put you in a gc3 lobby and you’re gc1 you’d be extremely lost and not hit the ball much, that’s not a jab on you or being negative that’s a way of explaining it. Depending on what mechanics, there’s no harm in touching up mechanics and going back to the basics. The thing that sets gc1 apart from ssl and the ranks in between is consistency that’s the MOST important thing.

  25. Yea a series like that would be awesome hahaha, appreciate the advice brother, thank you!

  26. This guys so right, like there’s some things you can look at that can help at first like pushing the stick up and to the right makes you go right and pushing it down and to the right makes you go left, but honestly you just have to straight up do these maps for months and you will just gain the muscle memory to the point of not even thinking about it

  27. Yea I did the same thing on rings maps, now I do not think what direction I’m pushing my stick in at all, I just decide that’s where I wanna go while air rolling and my fingers just move lol

  28. All you need to hit SSL is flip resets and Breezis, also if your tm8 is going for the ball lend him a hand and go for a flip reset into a breezi while he has possession, honestly the only way to rank up

  29. I see! Flip reset into breezi from a ground dribble will definitely carry me to SSL! I'm sure my mate won't be mad if we just win, right? :d

  30. Lol i was gonna give some advice but a bunch of dudes already said anything I would’ve, good luck w the grind brotherrrrrrr

  31. and moving your finger from R2 to R1 or R1 to R2 takes slightly longer than just pressing a button your finger is already on, which could also be the difference between scoring and getting scored on

  32. Also btw changing is definitely worth it homie it only takes like a few days (same goes for if you want to start using ur middle and index finger on the back) which I say you should cause what’s just a few days of awkward playing for a more efficient layout, up to you tho either way, good luck!

  33. Like I usually just use my middle finger on the triggers and my index fingers on the bumpers so I have access to everything at the same time

  34. Honestly all you have to do to get out of gold, and out of plat into diamond, is not go for the ball while your tm8 has it or is clearly committing, when you’re last man kindve stay between the ball and the net and try not to challenge until your tm8 rotates behind unless you really have to, when it’s your turn to hit the ball, either hit towards net or even better towards your tm8, and hit the ball w power

  35. Great rotations homie, when you get a chance like that where both your tm8s rotated back and you’re now first man try jumping for that ball a little sooner and make the read off the ceiling, you’re going to miss those a lot at first but eventually you’ll learn to read the ball better and rank up in no time, keep it up!
