  1. Man, I had a chance to buy one of these 6 years ago. Had 80,000 miles, few mods, guy wanted $21,000..still kicking myself. what a beautiful car. Congrats.

  2. It couldn't have been a V for that price. That's a decent deal for non-V.

  3. Shit my bad. Typo, definitely ment $21,000. But still was a great deal at the time.

  4. It was a v, I looked at it multiple times, it was way up in northern Ontario. Lady was selling off her late husband's collection unfortunately.

  5. dont forget to hook up the airbags... you're gonna want the immersion..

  6. Okay, I won't complain anymore. You win.

  7. The 3dlabprint cub is gonna be my first printed plane next month when I get the a1. Update us on how it flies!

  8. I'll be flying mine this weekend, I'll let ya know. Having some issues with my ailerons right now. Looking for help but I can't post in this sub until I get enough karma :/ once I get it sorted though I'll make a post. It looks great, was a really fun build to. Check my post history for a picture of it.

  9. Oh lol I commented on that post when you originally posted it! What’s up with the ailerons? Not fitting? Can’t get the filament for the hinge through?

  10. I've never heard of finding a private used car deal, then taking it to a dealer so they could make some profit from it as well. Do people do this?

  11. I did this with my car but slightly different circumstances. Mine was a desirable vehicle, guy bought it and 6 months later he had surgery, couldn't drive it. He went to trade it in and they offered him less than half of what he paid but gave him the option to sell privately with financing through the dealer.. He listed it as private sale, we agreed to the price than I finished the paperwork at the dealership. Car is mine. Cash is his. Definitely not normal in my area but worked out great for me.

  12. Upper spring isolators love to perish and tear so start there

  13. i saw some pictures the other day of what they can look like, seem to go pretty quickly.. im gonna pull the wheel and take a good luck at everything. only 100,000km on it but the age is getting up a little bit.

  14. Seen em go with half the mileage and time, I think there’s a revised set from Ford that are more rubbery than the original foam. But plenty aftermarket options out there if that’s your issue 🤞

  15. Thank you. Gonna check that first. Thankfully parts are damn cheap for these cars. Just keep throwing shit at it until it goes away lol

  16. i did apply but my email also includes someone elses name. kinda strange.

  17. Soaring parakeet- there is no such thing as disc and drum brakes on the same axle at the same time. It is one or the other.

  19. For future planes, try and use white PLA lw (or Aero or other brand foaming PLA), since black tends to absorb too much heat and deform. Had this happen to me a while ago, white never failed me

  20. What brands of lw pla do you have experience with? Had some trouble finding some for a decent cost where I am, funny enough the bambu aero was the most expensive however I had a gift card. For my next roll I'm looking for a good option, nothing pre foamed though. Like to control the amount of foaming with heat and extrusion myself

  21. Esuns plalw (has table of temp and foaming ratio, .28mm layer height is almost seamless) Bambu Aero Other generic foaming ola

  22. Awesome. Will give the esun a go. Feel like this is the first of many planes..

  23. Man, after driving only manual since I started driving 10 years ago, bought an auto last year and my god I love it. Foot to the floor and go. Stop and go traffic? Just let off the brakes. Makes driving around town fun.. can't imagine making my life about a transmission..

  24. I'm in a similar boat - trying to figure out how to get this stuff to print decently. Drying it overnight on the printer hotbed really helped, even right out of the package. Would really appreciate if someone has a good printer profile.

  25. My profile now seems to work pretty well actually, I'll tweak it a bit further and post it for people that want it

  26. For something like that, maybe you should be printing a temperature tower and figure out which gives you the best layer adhesion. Typically when you have poor interlayer adhesion it’s because you’re printing too cold. There is a balance between printing hot enough to get good layers, but not overdoing it to prevent stringing, though that is not as much of a concern if you’re printing in vase mode. Keep in mind people don’t always print stuff like that. They still design the project to have internal supports of some kind.

  27. Yea it's definitely temp. Got it sorted. I just thought it was weird as it was the first bambu profile that hasn't worked for me out of the box. Everything else has been perfect but all good now. Had to go from 220 to 245 and up the line width slightly.

  28. Pilleye works great for me..use it regularly.

  29. I personally messaged the guy that striked me. He is yet to respond, but I also do agree with you. There's tons of other models of the ping pong ball, even one that IS A LITERALLY COPPY OF HIS (with the same fucking photo), and the guy proceeded to strike my design instead of all those ones. I suppose, as you said, that's just because my design was growing well in terms of popularity, becoming a threat to his model.

  30. I printed someone's model, his uploaded profile was shit so I rated 3 stars, model was meh but needed work, could've given 1 but I thought 3 was generous. He messaged me a huge rant about how I should just design my own stuff if it's that easy, blah, blah, blah. It was that easy so I did. Slightly different design but I also uploaded my step file and source files. He striked mine for copyright because he was mad I actually made my own..yea mine got taken down..took about a month to resolve. The system really is a joke, there needs to be penalties for false claims.

  31. My dad owned and restored the 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible on the list in 2002. (#8)

  32. That's awesome. I bought a used car a number of years ago. Older gentleman I bought it off had a picture of an old Corvette sitting on his desk, looked a bit rough, nothing special from what I could see. He bought it for around 30k, sold it for 80k and he thought that was amazing. Well it was a one of one L88, Years later the exact car went to Barret Jackson and got $3.5m...honestly kinda felt bad for the guy..

  33. everyone’s sad about that fact but for me it actually probably works because by 2028 i might finally have a career that can financially support buying a Rivian finally

  34. That's my feeling here. I have two older cars, lower mileage but both starting to have some issue that will eventually cost me a good chunk. Would love to sell both and pick this up as my first electric vehicle. Nothing else has really impressed me this much other than the EV6 GT...but it's a kia.. really like the R1 after checking them out finally but I can't do $90K CAD for a vehicle.

  36. It seems ridiculous (and it is), but for context, would you pay $10 for this on your next flight? Sure! $10?! Why not! It’s only $10.

  40. I’ve heard lots of good things about Mosport’s lo206 class. If you’re looking for a place north of Toronto, Toronto kart club (in brechin) is great as well. I’m actually hopping back in over there after a few seasons off.

  41. innate snails disgusted melodic lush icky muddle work station sable

  42. Yeah, brechin has great arrive and drive karts. I’m up there practicing a few times a week during the summer and the guys that go out to practice the arrive and drive karts are always having a great time. I hope you enjoy it!
