  1. It looks like that door opens outward. That means the hinges were probably accessible. In the future you might consider tapping out the hinge pins and removing the door in a slightly less destructive way.

  2. It looks like you drove up against some branches. It doesnā€™t looked keyed to me but it hard to tell over a photo.

  3. I'm pretty sure it was a tree branch, or something hit while driving. In the second picture, there's scrapes on the door handle that aren't typical of keying.

  4. DeSantis is all about performance governing. It doesn't matter to him that this is pointless and ineffective. It's all about the message he's sending to all his culture warrior fans.

  5. That's the American version of a Flak Tower. Some people built them during the cold war to fight off the USSR.

  6. I'm not sure the fix for this, but I wouldn't do it in place. You're likely to get melted wax in the cracks of the floor or possibly damage the flooring with heat. Right now, the worst case is to toss out the rug. You don't want to make it worse by damaging the floor.

  7. Just be safe please. Thatā€™s a pretty dangerous situationā€¦ as you have assumed. Well done on being prudent, cautious, and using distance to stay safe.

  8. I was thinking of a manual chainsaw with rope to keep a good distance on the barber pole section. It'd be slow but it would mean staying at a good distance.

  9. Why did they ever think it was necessary to mention this publically in the first place? I remember getting food in Burger King a while back and thinking with the electronic menus it would be simple to have demand pricing without anyone really noticing. Frankly, I'll bet some of them are already doing it.

  10. Easy-off oven cleaner in the blue can is my go to for baked on stuff like this. It just works without all that scrubbing. You just have to give it some time to soften up the goo.

  11. What does the break surface look like? Is it all jagged or partially jagged with smooth areas starting at one edge? The later would indicate a crack that progressed. If it's all jagged, that indicates a one-time over load on the part. That's not to say it wasn't defective from the start, but it would be evidence that they hit a curb or something and aren't fessing up.

  12. Damn, that makes much more sense. Although iā€™m totally lost as to what is causing it not to open. Any idea why it isnā€™t deploying? I deleted the configuration and redid it with the same results.

  13. Is the parachute and shock cord a sub-assembly of the nose cone or of the body tube? I always make them sub-assemblies of the body tube. It may be that Open Rocket is assuming the parachute never deploys.

  14. Well, there's only six arrows so how can there be seven states, smarty pants?!?!

  15. What, in particular, did you do for maintenance that you think has kept it alive for so long?

  16. OM94 says:

Just oil change in time and driving normally not aggressively

  17. What about the transmission? Did you change its fluid and filters regularly? If so, how often?

  18. Why build something that simulates as clearly risking being unstable? How about adding a temporary section of at least 6" to get the stability up to at least 1.0 cals. Then if want to push limits try flying it with progressively shorter sections.

  19. I've been singing this version with Cub Scouts for years. It's my go to if someone asks to do a song.

  20. These rollers are readily available at hardware stores. It's certainly worth a shot at replacing them. I'm not seeing anything that says you have to replace the whole door.

  21. The 1984 Mustangs had external regulators, where the later ones, starting either '85 or '86 had internal regulators, so the wiring is considerably different between them. Sorry, I don't know how to convert between them, but I'll bet someone online has details.

  22. Man all the Sinophobia comments act like there is no superfund in the United states or NASA didnā€™t kill civilians in their launch, or spacex doesnā€™t pollute Texan land/water.

  23. If a similar incident happened in the US, there would be a huge public uproar and the launch company would be lucky to ever get another launch license.

  24. Come on, are you blind about the United States government? Who was punished for financial crisis? Which company is punished when lead water pipe in Akron, which company is punished when East Palestine train wreck, which company is punished after sandy hook? Outcry my ass you weak Americans

  25. Why do you know about all those events in the US? Oh, that's right. There was an outcry as a result of them.
