I did several BFR’s with the pilot who figured out the issue, well one of them, with this bird. The aircraft switches to cross controlled above a certain airspeed. There were other issues and he had no intention of making this thing his daily driver.
After Germany invaded France, they forced Citroen to make trucks for them. In an act of sabotage, Citroen moved the full mark on the engine oil dipstick lower. So, the engines would run but fail under heavy use. Brilliant!
Depending on the office, this does have some merit. Large office buildings can have motion activated lights. If only one person is on the floor after hours and hasn't left their desk for a while, the ceiling lights will click off.
They did that before Quattro to put more weight over the front axle for traction and safety. When Quattro came along it was just convenient. If you look at some older models, the front of the engine is further forward than the radiator, they didn't need to push it that far. It was on purpose
The ironic thing is the Paddy, Chris & Freddie trio worked from a banter perspective but the whole show suffered because it took so many combinations to get there. Also Freddie and Paddy weren’t really drivers so it relied too much on Chris whenever there was a skill based challenge.
The 3 stooges weren't amazing drivers, they actually used Ben Collins for the cooler shots. The difference is that CHM are real car people, and the only real car guy on the current trio is Harris (and he gets made fun of for it)
