We paid $13K for 2700 sq ft. but we live in an area with a high cost of living too. All our estimates (we got six!) fell between $11k and $15K.
I got a real quote of $30k for a new furnace and adding central air, for a 1400 sq ft home. Also in a very high cost of living area, but $30k was just absurd.

Figured I’d ask online to see what most couples do in this situation before we figure out the right % of income each of us pay for bills and such.

Making them recurring events makes it punishing to players who don't participate when they're active, or don't have the time when they're active. It also doesn't fix the core issues that people have with minigames as a skill.
Definitely not as a skill, a recurring event to train a skill would be wack. I more meant the idea of some of the less popular mini games being events.

If you leave the starting drop rate exactly as it is, and create a system that increases the drop rate after a certain number of times not getting the drop, wouldn’t your overall effect on the RNG system still be an increase in drop rates for those items/drop tables?

In short, I don’t know if it would be better or worse to just adjust drop rates directly. I think it would be more comforting to know that going dry is contributing to a higher drop rate, but I also think increasing individual drop rates might be a simpler solution if that’s the intended effect, there are benefits to both.
