It's easy, low hanging fruit to look at Disney, look at Iger and shout "Look at this, Disney is doing a shitty job with the Star Wars and Marvel properties" which is indeed partially true. But it's easy to pay attention to that, point and screem that it's ESG and DEI that are causing the problems but it really isn't. I feel like there's a massive failure in leadership in recognising that while inclusion and diversity is a right and noble endeavour - doing so at the cost of alienating the core fanbase that while aging has been the reason Iger bought those companies is...A massive mis-step.
That’s $600 per person. Unless it was a one day trip I don’t find the price that outrageous. Also your OG comment is aimed at who has the money to spent $10K on disney but most people don’t travel in a group that big. Most are families of 4-5.
I watched the whole movie. I found his case much stronger than Asha’s entitlement in the first half of the story: there were zero stakes or logic to what was going on. I genuinely didn’t care about Asha’s mission whatsoever.
Eh Ron needed to be call out. He was controlling of his sisters’ relationship. Also, after Ginny tells Ron Hermione kissed Krum, he becomes upset for something that happened years ago. So from that confrontation, Ron ends up with a worse flaw than Ginny.
Better than Disney’s strategy of spending $200 million per movie and hoping that it coasting on the “Disney” name is enough to make up for the fact that it isn’t something that young children are interested in seeing.
HIMYM. Unlike most folks, I don't mind the mom dying. That's just real life. What I do hate is Robin and Barney getting broken up just so Ted and Robin could be a thing again long after they stopped working as a couple.
Sub 200M gross for both parts. The trailer got ridiculed online. Plus, the critic inflation that gave Chu positive reception for Crazy Rich Asians and In The Heights is going to be gone for this.
If it was going to be a serialized show then it can definitely be tweaked into a movie. But if it’s more episodic in nature, then it truly is a recipe for disaster. It’s basically Atlantis all over again.
People are too annoying. People didn’t watch Strange World/Wish/Encanto/Raya in theatres. That’s 3 consecutive years of original IPs. Moana 2 it’s coming almost 8 years after the original. Zootopia 2 will be 9 years after the original.
I was trying to play it safe because majority of the internet are Disney defenders and supporters, but if you ask me, they were already done. These people put out content that featured Little Mermaid, Darth Vader, Buzz Lightyear and Marvel’s next Thanos that not only bombed, but were bad in quality.
MCU terrible box office started this year. It did mostly fine during 2022. As for WDAS, original animation has struggle since COVID. But sure make it seem like the last decade has been failures.

Do you have a family of 7? How do you spend $10K
That’s $600 per person. Unless it was a one day trip I don’t find the price that outrageous. Also your OG comment is aimed at who has the money to spent $10K on disney but most people don’t travel in a group that big. Most are families of 4-5.
i did the opposite but with more shares
Might as well set your money on fire
American Idol used to be the talk of every US household for so long.
American Idol fell because there’s no topping Kelly Clarkson. Like how lucky they were to find her on that first season.
What’re the stories of cars 3 and death on the Nile?
I think Cars toys have sold like a billion or something.
As a stock holder I'm voting for new board members. It's really a no brainer.
Parks are not losing anything to Universal.
Nothing Disney has done in the last 10 years is magical.
All these have been done in the last 10 years:
I watched the whole movie. I found his case much stronger than Asha’s entitlement in the first half of the story: there were zero stakes or logic to what was going on. I genuinely didn’t care about Asha’s mission whatsoever.
Media literacy dead
That excerpt it’s obnoxious. But regardless of that, the show it’s not a masterpiece or even good. It doesn’t stand out anywhere.
How was the first season? I never watched it ..yet.
Pretty mid. It has a ton of filler that’s never interesting. It def could’ve been a movie. But if you enjoy mindless actions it’s enjoyable.
How is getting so pissed you hurt your brother not a flaw? Very few characters get called out on their negative behaviour.
Eh Ron needed to be call out. He was controlling of his sisters’ relationship. Also, after Ginny tells Ron Hermione kissed Krum, he becomes upset for something that happened years ago. So from that confrontation, Ron ends up with a worse flaw than Ginny.
Sad it wasn’t Anatomy of a Fall, but at least it was something deserving
Yes and no. Joy didn’t vanquish Sadness at all. It was a mistake.
Better than Disney’s strategy of spending $200 million per movie and hoping that it coasting on the “Disney” name is enough to make up for the fact that it isn’t something that young children are interested in seeing.
It’s not better. It’s an awful strategy. It would damaged the brand even further
HIMYM. Unlike most folks, I don't mind the mom dying. That's just real life. What I do hate is Robin and Barney getting broken up just so Ted and Robin could be a thing again long after they stopped working as a couple.
I disagree, but mainly because Robin and Barney never should’ve been a thing in the first place.
I mean…that’s not true, otherwise we would have had the film trilogy ending
Which was the right call. Because a movie trilogy for two seasons it’s just insane. Specially when some episodes were already movie length.
I thought HBO wanted 10 seasons tho. It was them who insisted they could finish the show with just seven
Are you new to trades reports? What’s surprising about “says one insider”
Sub 200M gross for both parts. The trailer got ridiculed online. Plus, the critic inflation that gave Chu positive reception for Crazy Rich Asians and In The Heights is going to be gone for this.
Crazy Rich Asians and In the Heights are both good movies. What are you on.
The show was almost finished so they’re Frankenstein-ing into a movie now… sounds like a recipe for disaster tbh
If it was going to be a serialized show then it can definitely be tweaked into a movie. But if it’s more episodic in nature, then it truly is a recipe for disaster. It’s basically Atlantis all over again.
My favorite part was where iger said they heard people’s complaints about too many sequels then announced nothing but sequels.

You forgot the part where these original concepts need to be, ya know…good.
Announcement: Walt Disney Animation Studios’ ‘Moana 2’ to Voyage into Theaters November 2024
Wow the Julia Michaels mistake I see.
This is the Moana TV show reworked into a movie.
This is screaming Atlantis sequel all over again.
Why does Star Wars need Episode 10? Or more accurately why does it need it so fast?
Man I really don’t see the animation complain. I saw this in theatres and it was by far the best part of the movie. Like it was genuinely amazing
I agree, the movie is beautiful on the big screen.
The movie looks like trash using Twitter compression and whatnot, but I can always tell who actually saw the movie because of it.
I think it hits 250m since it has many markets to still open in
How many more markets? It’s already playing in 68.
I was trying to play it safe because majority of the internet are Disney defenders and supporters, but if you ask me, they were already done. Lol you just have to say Disney bad to receive thousands of upvotes and awards here.
Argylle gang rise up
Because they've been doing sooooo well under Iger, Walden, Bergman, Jennifer Lee, etc
They have. One bad year doesn’t change the other ones that came before it lol
Uh, sure. WDAS and the MCU in peril and it's just one bad year...
MCU terrible box office started this year. It did mostly fine during 2022. As for WDAS, original animation has struggle since COVID. But sure make it seem like the last decade has been failures.
