Basically yeah. A few months ago I was actually playing through the Arkham games again, while also watching the Animated series, and the staunch contrast in how the two act, I couldn’t ignore

My confusion was more about why exactly did they choose these 2 characters, especially when there’s a super popular X-men show going on right now, that they could’ve cross promoted with. Just seems like odd choices all things considered. Put yeah, there’s probably gonna be more skins like that, considering the new rumored Marvel season coming up
I feel like an argument can be made that Galactus being in the first movie could allow the characters a big fun and bombastic entrance that they might need. And they have tons of fun villains still, so it’s not like the stakes will disappear for the next movies or anything
It could also be that they’re hiding what’s on the other side. Or it is just like that and the portal is in the sky or something. Otherwise not sure why they’d be jumping toward Alioth of all things
One of the best feelings I had was yesterday when I placed down Echo on middle lane, only for the guy to place Patriot there on the same turn. The instant retreat was so satisfying
What I find more objectionable in this case, is that like, 90% of the franchise isn’t like this. Even the best aspects of it. Beast Wars, Animated, Prime, even G1. All of them have weird silly and goofy shit going on. So I don’t see where this standard comes from honestly

I find it very interesting that they only seem to include ginger characters who were cast with black actors, but literally NEVER even make a sound when it’s a white non-ginger actor. Like Marvel for example.
