  1. Yeah I was going to say, this shit isn't fathate, this is just humiliation-tinged feedist smut.

  2. The year is 2005, Senator Biden is easing into his Acela First Class single-seater about an hour out from Deleware and picks up the complementary copy of Arrive. He takes a minute and looks at the cover of the man in an ill fitting suit doing a bad characature of himself and chuckles. "My god, man have you no shame?" he thinks as he then assures himself "thank fuck I only have to deal with this chucklefuck's malarkey at like 2 fundraisers this year".

  3. What time do you eat dinner? I know a guy in that business with similar hours. I was talking to his wife about routines and he really isn't home most evenings. There is no way he could go grocery shopping and cook something elaborate. The time just doesn't math up.

  4. Yeah I was thinking the same thing - is this dude eating dinner at 9pm then getting up at 5am to start this whole thing over again?

  5. While it certainly doesn't absolve individuals for their own ethical choices, a significant proportion of the carbom emissions leading to climate change is driven by mass manufacturers and large businesses who would be polluting whether or not you use their products. These corporations strongly support environmental awareness campaigns that shift the focus on individual actions over collective social pressure and/or legislation on the large-scale polluters to shift blame and focus in the public imagination away from them and instead focused inward. In other words, it's amazing to want to do your part as an individual to reduce your personal carbon footprint - and please do whenever possible, but there is absolutely no need for personal guilt for enjoying a unique vacation. That personal guilt is misplaced, and a result of the careful marketing of environmental issues mentioned previously.

  6. Certain types of Onboard Credit are refundable if unused (gifts from friends/family added before cruise and OBC from NCL itself for refunds on other things) but other kinds aren't (such as promotional OBC from a travel agency). The "Free at Sea" drink package and dining packages are not OBC and not refundable.

  7. I guess you could say this country's Old Men Welcome sign has been turned "off", eh?

  8. I think it’s ok to have hope in your religion. No one should be shamed for believing and worshipping god, and having hope. I know Christian friends who thought or at least hoped it would be a rapture and they were wrong but at least they had faith. Personally I am a Christian but didn’t see it being a rapture, but I at least hoped and thanked god for the beautiful moment I was able to experience with my family.

  9. bro, wanting the world to end so you can feel justified in feeling superior to other people is different than just having hope or believing in a diety.

  10. The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago has a recreation of an early 1900s street:

  11. For the first time, a PC Oregano is better than the BHJ. Congratulations, OP, you're officially less funny than Pizza fucking cake. You should be, proud?

  12. being snarky isn't being butthurt. Projecting the hurt you felt from the snark back on the person pointing it out is kinda cringe, though. Just accept the L and move on... I'm not judging you as a human being, just judging this one work, it's all gonna be ok, brudda.

  13. It's a south Philly/ Italian American thing. Pan pizza with a focaccia-like crust and thick layer of sauce. Some will sprinkle Romano cheese on top

  14. In Rhode Island it's called "Party Slice" or "Party Pizza"

  15. The hell you mean "back in the day"? I'd break that hip.

  16. Implying she isn't still fit enough to break your hip.

  17. The Holodomor happened because communists made all the workers draw trans Jimmy Olsen instead of farming. Few remember this.

  18. Come now, we all know the Holodomor was simply a case of good old fashioned DEI. Chrenobyl was what was caused by forced trans art.

  19. Nothing screams far left exremism like checks notes the largest media conglomerate mining the depths of the IP it hoards to milk a couple extra million from movie audiences - or at worst a nice writeoff if it flops due to being about a relatively niche character.

  20. Dear god, it's multiplying at an unsustainable rate.

  21. It's funny how the voice actresses for Lucy and Peppermint Patty look like the other character.

  22. So if I talk to other people I have to make sure I don't use any emotions that may lead them to act against their own wishes?

  23. You seem to be oversimplifying things to blanket x or y dichotomies. Emotional language is fine, especially for those close to you. It's more about the pattern of behavior and frequency of the emotional clauses than the individual uses. You're allowed to challenge and push back on your therapist a bit. He or she is only working on incomplete information from you - so if you feel that the one-time off the cuff use of "it would make us both so happy" is not indicative of her normal pattern of behavior, then say so. On the other hand, we don't know what else you were talking about in that session or previous sessions, it is entirely possible that this line fit a patern of other behavior that you mentioned and your therapist picked up on. Therapy, when it works best, is a two-way street where your therapist helps guide you to figure things out and points things out you may have a blind spot to. It's your job to ponder on what's pointed out not necessarily take it as gospel truth as it is.

  24. I did a ship-sponsored excursion where we did an airboat ride and an animal sanctuary visit before they dropped us off at the airport (they had it available for both MIA and FLL flights).

  25. A warranty is a type of insurance product. The refund is for the time remaining on the warranty period from the day after you sign to cancel it, not for the time you were previously covered. While it sucks and is slimy that only a little over 1/4 of the time through the warranty period, you have used up the $8000 in "value" of the coverage, you certainly would not have been getting back the full $6000 you were expecting. You would be getting back $8000 - $2000 non-refundable coverage - $[Value of Coverage applied to date] (remember that this is regardless of whether you got any warranty-covered work done, it's just the value of having that theoretical ability to use the warranty, which the company can decide to assign a value to). According to your document that Value plus the $2k nonrefundable add up to more than $8000. You can try to call back and complain and point out you're only about 1/4 of the way through the Warranty, but they don't call extended warrantys scams for nothing.
