  1. Oh boy, who’s going to tell him what is considered Brigading by the rusties here.

  2. Oh yeah, I think I've been called a brigadier here!

  3. First time I met her I tried killing her for the elder scroll she had on her. Seems fair enough that she might want to knock off the Dragonborn.

  4. From a story perspective, I don't understand why the Dawnguard member you play wouldn't just kill her on sight. She's a vampire. We're investigating vampires. We found one. Kill it.

  5. If you support a muffin bill just go ahead and admit your a fascist.

  6. Ew, you're a men's rights' activist. Begone, misogynst!

  7. Look, I'm too exhausted to have a position on this, and maybe it's not a good proposal --- I genuinely don't know right at this moment.

  8. Yeah, I think they definitely should have leaned into both Meredith and Orsino getting more and more unhinged as the game went on. As it is, Meredith just loses her shit the whole time while Orsino is honestly pretty reasonable up until the last minute when he

  9. Yeah, the ending suffers from the short development timeline, and also that they decided they needed another boss fight before the final one and Orsino was offered up as a sacrifice for that.

  10. It's called "Armenian Resettlement" because the place they were sent to was still inside the Ottoman Empire at the time, so "deportation" would be wrong.

  11. Turkish government policy has been contradictory, ranging from 'it didn't happen' to, roughly, 'if anything hypothetically bad happened they deserved it anyway, but we didn't do it'.

  12. I think they meant within Turkey itself.

  13. If you blamed Jews for something random you could go into their records keeping areas and destroy their loan records. You just needed an excuse to go in their. It was basically medieval bankruptcy.

  14. And if you're an indebted king, you can just banish them from your kingdom.

  15. Given that there is so much truth here you;d think that the Jewish Culture would be the most empathetic on earth…you’d think!

  16. Hardship can increase empathy. It can also kill it.

  17. She's likely going to be an important character in the story though, I would assume

  18. He sided with me against the templars, that is peak character development for him.

  19. I didn't realise not taking him out of the city in Act II would avoid his loyalty quest so ... yeah, he betrayed me and I couldn't understand why anyone even liked him.

  20. I think it’s helpful if you’re in a conservative place to know who you can vent to or be supported by. An ally flag would be super helpful to a young queer person living in a conservative community, seeing it on their teacher or librarian’s car. All about context.

  21. As a teacher, this is why I started wearing an Ally Pride Progress badge to work.

  22. How incredibly sensible, if we can convince our American cousins we all might have a chance at a happier world without finding a new axis of evil every 10 years.

  23. Unfortunately, I think there are a lot more (in numbers) poor, desperate and uneducated Americans who will go along with the Arseholes That Be.

  24. If someone tried to send me to the dessert to fight alongside Israel while they’re actively committing genocide and picking fights with every other country in the area, let’s just say I’m coming down with a bad case of rigor mortis before deployment

  25. Isn't gaol as a conscientious objector preferable?

  26. Au contraire, then he can just wear glasses and tap into the bespeckled bald man market of content creators.

  27. We are building a consensus, please try again later.

  28. I get to explore counterfactuals without annoying the hell out of a real person with my random and incessant questions.

  29. Wow who knew the racist Australian subreddit would be against laws against misinformation

  30. As someone who has recently paid off their debt due to family windfalls, HECS needs to be abolished.

  31. Yeah, but if right-wingers do that they'll just make it Pay Upfront so only the wealthy can afford to go.

  32. This is a godawful blow when combined with the previous arsehole government's lowering of the repayment threshold.

  33. Yeah unfortunately you can't do the whole class solidarity thing if you're entirely partisan in your politics. I do wonder why he is so swept up in Labor sometimes. Perhaps an attachment to the party from its Whitlam-era days? I don't personally see any current day figures there which inspire Gough-level devotion.

  34. Thanks for the recommendations. I've heard good things about Michael West but haven't actually looked into him. I've not actually watched swollenpickles, but I've seen some right-wing Labor people absolutely hate them so they must be doing something right.

  35. It's funny you mention Mark Latham - I've thought for some time now that Jordan may end up following in his footsteps.

  36. Ouch, that comment is savage and to the point.

  37. Nîn ennas, Mithrandir. Nîn ennas neledh meneg în ia ...

  38. Something that hadn't occurred to me right until this moment ... do you think they were conversing in Westron or Sindarin?

  39. I wonder if we'll get TES 6 before the next A Song of Ice and Fire book

  40. Finally! A worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!

  41. Gta online killed gta6 for a long time . ESO probably did the same

  42. I don't disagree with you, but wasn't ESO by Zenimax, not BSG?

  43. Honestly Skyrim. It's not mentioned at all but you can't marry anyone (of those available and interested) regardless of gender. It's subtle and I really appreciate it being not locked. Especially with how a few characters flirt, there's no gender bias which is great. So yeah Skyrim has probably the simplest mechanic and it's not like marrying gets you something big, so it's just for Role-playing(ignoring weird challenges or hardcore mods)

  44. I know some people discount this as a Syndrome-like 'when everyone's bi, no one is!' but I really appreciate it.

  45. Wait so they have a bi character who isn't (functionally) bi?

  46. You should ask BioWare, they managed it as well.

  47. I wrote this in that comment section, but then the whole post got removed:

  48. The best I can come up with is "sanda" which means "true," here meant to be interpreted as being true to one's self. I don't know if that fits the any actual Quenya usage, though.

  49. As I commented in that comment section as well, my take on this in Sindarin is thonden or thondren.

  50. Yeah, if there are mass graves it should definitely be investigated. Determine who were the perpetrators.

  51. Yeah, but if it's My Guys responsible I don't want to know, and if it's The Other Guys responsible I'll scream it from the rooftops.

  52. that's what makes me laugh at it as well, because one of cullen's arcs is literally that he learns to understand his role in perpetuating an oppressive system and puts in the work to break free from it and his biases. and also wasn't cullen supposed to be bi? he tried to use cullen's character to spew his weird vitriol but didn't even understand that the actual cullen would be disgusted 😭

  53. I guess he's like the reverse Cullen: becomes more intolerant and bigoted as he grows older.

  54. As Septimus says, he needs the blood to make a facsimile of Dwemer blood (using what is clearly a device of Dwemer origins) which he then injects himself with so that the box's mechanism thinks he's a Dwemer, and thus opens for him.

  55. It reminds me of comparative linguistics, where looking at a cognate word in all the cousin languages can help you construct a hypothetical ancestral form (or hypothetical contemporary cousin forms if their version of that word went out of use).

  56. I like to share some of the memes from here with NT friends, but it’s crazy how this one is so extremely true, but they would just absolutely not get it.

  57. Just write it? Wow, what a revelation! 😂

  58. Exactly! Lol He’s a creative, artistic type (photography, graphic design), so it comes easy to him.

  59. I've had items sit on a to-do list for years that suddenly my brain lets me work on and it's sorted within fifteen minutes.
