On one hand, the fact their flesh is literally rotting would no doubt mean they'd be carrying necrotic diseases. On the other hand, you'd think the fact they're irradiated would mean the radiation would kill most diseases that try to infect them. Makes you wonder how many diseases have adapted to radiation.
The games tend to treat feral and non ferals as two separate species rather than mental state. For example, a non-feral that smacks you in 4 and 76 won't give you Rads while a feral will. That's probably just gameplay.
I thought the only distinction between normal ghouls and feral ghouls was their mental states and nothing else? I thought their differing appearances was solely a gameplay thing so you'd know from a distance which ghouls to shoot at and which not to. Sort of like how all raiders share the same taste in fashion, and no settler is ever seen dressing like a raider. Otherwise it's a bit strange how there's stories about ghouls refusing to believe friends and family have gone feral. If their appearances so drastically warped when they went feral, that'd be pretty hard to deny.
It's not a hard boss, it's just a garbage experience from beginning to end. You have to wait for the web to burn even though you've drained Araxxor's HP entirely, so you're just standing there doing nothing for a solid minute at least. Then you get to phase 2, where you're once again mostly just standing there and waiting for the phase to end while avoiding boring and extremely tedious mechanics such as watching out for damage reflect spiders that can easily kill you since your damage is reflected 1:1, or exploding spiders capable of insta-killing you if they get close to you. Both of these spiders are small and difficult to see, especially if they spawn under Araxxor. Third phase isn't terrible, just a bit boring because it's just the same mechanics as the first and second phases. Then you have to watch the phase change animation which gets old after the first couple of times, making it feel like an eternity even though it really isn't. Then the fourth phase is boring because you're just running in a circle around Araxxi while pray switching.
Psychic powers are a thing. People with psychic powers have no explanation for how they exist outside of being supernatural. The Master on Fallout 1 was able to communicate telepathically and make people's heads explode from a distance through unseen psychic waves. He also tried giving his powers to his followers through experimention, which was only successful with four people he referred to as "psykers." His four psykers each possessed supernatural powers unique to themselves: one could conjure fire with their mind, one could control light with their mind, one gained telekinetic abilities, and one gained the ability to conjure and control electricity.
Seren is Welsh for "star." Runegame elves have heavy Welsh inspirations so there's a lot more references than you'd expect outside of just names alone.
I remember always carrying return scrolls to the other towns on Victoria Island since the taxi system didn't exist yet. I always had a few scrolls to spare for the noobs trapped in Sleepywood begging for help getting out lol

I think the fort is supposed to be done now after Vorkath? Maybe wishful thinking but I think that is the case. But I'm not getting my hopes up we are doing the Xau-Tak storyline anytime soon. With Jack at the helm they're gonna continue with this philosophy that they can't do multiple storylines at once, and the Xau-Tak story needs years to unfold like the god and elder god stories. They won't want to do one story for years, so they won't do it.
It's funny because the Xau-Tak story HAS been unfolding for years. We're far passed the teaser point; we're at the point where it's just annoying that they won't get on with the Xau-Tak story already.
Rasial is most likely talking about a threat from Erebus, since it was his discovery of Erebus (and subsequent creation of the 4 necromantic runecrafting altars using energy from Erebus) that made Radial turn against Guthix (who Rasial immediately started distrusting due to the fact Guthix was intentionally keeping Erebus's existence a secret from everyone and seemingly doing nothing about the threat it poses to our world), forsake his role as a Guardian of Guthix, and set out on his quest to become the super bestest ultimate necromancer to ever necromancy, so he could protect the world from "the coming shadows."
