The way she blurs the lines of growing up in Catholicism and growing up in a high control group is absolutely fucking wild to me. I posted something here a few days ago about that not being the care team. I highly doubt anyone from the company called her to confirm or deny them being patients in crisis. I worked in detox and mental health not only did we operate under HIPAA we operated under a completely separate set of federal laws that provided extra protection to anyone seeking care. Even subpoenas for records need to be filled out a specific way. As for the LEO gf… my husband is a cop. If I was speaking to “journalists” or media at all about an active investigation my husband would be put under an IA. Most agencies have a PR officer who handles questions and they craft the messages and information that gets to the public.
Idk much about the Arizona care team, it might be entirely state funded which wouldn’t make them a “covered entity” under HIPAA but they’d be covered under the 42 CFR law for sure. Confirming or denying a patient was in your care isn’t something any sensible agency would ever risk. Distinction without a difference really, I’m just not trying to let KJ go off on technicalities on her page.
