Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that these are two different Yoshis. At the end of one of one Yoshi's island games a Baby Yoshi is born that's the seventh star child. That's the Yoshi that Mario finds in Mario world; the Yoshi from Yoshi's Island would be Cranky Kong's Age now
