  1. What is something Uber can do to improve driver safety and prevent something like this from happening in the future?

  2. They will put out one of those little lame basic slideshows they have us read through. They already have one for safety so they’ll add to it probably.

  3. support call with family: "please check your earnings for $3 adjustment for compensation"

  4. We all know Uber would say that since the prior employee is not the caller, they cannot provide further assistance and therefore they can not give the $3 compensation.

  5. Last year I tried to order an Uber for 11 miles, a 20 minute ride and it was a no traffic, no tolls. 11 miles in a Casa Grande, AZ at 3-4pm and it was $92 without tip included! Uber charged me $20 plus $5 tip for a ride the 11 miles to the place (DMV trip to reinstate my license)but when I went to order a ride home it was $92! So watch out for that people! I just walked to a restaurant and ate and waiting for my husband to get off work two hours later instead of Uber. Don’t assume the ride back will cost anywhere near the same as the ride there!

  6. This guy needs one good solid kick in the nuts

  7. And too many papers in her car to keep track of a receipt. She’s maxed out on apps and papers.

  8. Maybe that’s where her lost ID is? I gotta see the inside of this car? Real question also, I wonder if they let her leave with it? It obvious she didn’t bring it in.

  9. Thirteen FIFTY!!! Excuse me! You standing here not helping is giving me a headache. Talking about 13.00 when it's 13.50! I don't have time for no app. Get me the manager.

  10. I had a neighbor in my old neighborhood text me one night saying he needs a couple of dollars and had a couple of beers he wanted to exchange for a couple of bucks. I think it was $3-$5 he was wanting. It was so strange, why contact someone at night for $3-$5?

  11. Yeah I’m sure teenage “wolf kin” account for a large percentage of kidnappings in mall playgrounds…….

  12. Actually I don’t know how you don’t know this but preteens and teens do commit crimes including molesting other kids and murder. Two 10 year old kids kidnapped a 2 year old toddler from his mother AT a shopping mall, sodimized him, tortured him and killed him. They got juvenile jail for a few years and released at 18 years old. James Bulger was the 2 year old. But that’s not the only time, that’s just one of the most graphic. The murder channel (ID channel) has a wholes tv series called Killer Kids, among other documentaries.

  13. I wish they would have changed angles when that dad and his little kids came out. But nope, not even a flinch.

  14. I’m a driver that started this year, last week I was tired and ordered UE for myself. I tipped $10 because I understand…I guess I don’t though because my Ubereats driver’s pic was an old man and the person I met was a young woman. They picked up my food and the moving car on the app disappeared for about an hour and then showed back up at the restaurant! It was really weird.

  15. Good question because my family tried to help a homeless guy. He was an elderly man sitting on steps near the restaurant we were at. He looked homely and my husband gave him $50 and the guy looked at him confused and said, “I’m not homeless”. He was waiting for his family inside! He was definitely offended, but I guess the $50 made it better.

  16. I went homeless because my lawyer husband at the time had a secret online gambling problem and I didn’t know about it until everything basically disappeared in a very short timeframe. Honorable lawyer husband, I trusted him. House had a foreclose sticker and two weeks later boat was repo’d, dude emptied the bank accounts and ran off with my best friend and emptied the house of anything over a $50 value basically while I was on a trip. Took me a year and a half to get financially out of my homeless situation.

  17. I was disqualified once for making $50 over a cutoff limit. It hurt sooo bad! $50??? So I worked 5 hours too many the tax year before?! Ugh.

  18. True. Honestly, I would just kick him to a different room. Or move myself to a different room. No matter what I chose, he would be 100% responsible for his bed moving forward.

  19. My husband and I got into an argument around year 4-5 together and I went and took my stuff and slept in the other room for a month. When we made up I asked if we could keep the sleeping in separate rooms and we both like each other more for it. We both use to get annoyed with each other’s stuff and it makes it where we can hang out, enjoy our time and fun with each other as much as we want but sleep peacefully separately and not have to deal with each other’s mess.

  20. My husband said never in his life did women come out right and flirt with him until he started buying groceries with my kid with him. If he say that to get out of grocery shopping that’s well played.

  21. But he's not good looking and he's a fuckin douchebag, yuck!

  22. I know you didn’t mean it this way but I read that as she’s a fuck girl (and since he’s a fuck boi) I now see her old ass as a fuck gurl. She’s not a cougar, she’s a dumbass.

  23. Just pick it up yourself. Carry out for 2 medium 2 toppings was $22 in california. 2 large 2 toppings would have been $36. Lol

  24. Ahh, west coast. I got a thing for Round Table pizza. I’m not a vegetarian, but that gourmet veggie pizza is fire!

  25. All for the driver to get $7 of that

  26. I was giving the range of what she said, but it obviously depends on where you live, but if you don't think you or what you do for a living is worth $2 a mile, then good luck paying UE to work for them, while also wearing down your car.

  27. My Prius was $1,000. I’m not trying to drive it into the ground but if I wait for $3 a mile from UE I won’t be driving it anywhere.

  28. The store did have my items & the exact brands I wanted though lol. I would’ve been ok with any replacements too, he didn’t offer them but I was just going for cheap stuff. I think this guy just panicked and customer service was able to walk him through it and all my items got to me.

  29. My first day I cried. Thanks for being cool about it for your person. I’m fine now and good at it…now, but usually when you start a job no matter how easy, people usually get a walk through.

  30. I had a driver give me his number for future rides. I paid for a trip there through the app but I paid the way back in cash (just a quick lab appointment). It seemed legit that he was not wanting to give Uber their oversized cut. I talked about my husband during the ride and everything, dude seemed professional. I called about a month later for another doc appt and I’m pretty sure guy didn’t remember because he was offering to meet up and get some beer. 😂

  31. You'll learn which restaurants to avoid. Every couple of weeks or so, you can check in on them and see if things have changed. Most don't, but some do. Only visit these places when Uber begs you in dollars so you know if they waste your time, you'll still get paid. Adjust based on their performance. If you do choose to go, have a seat and get as comfortable as you can like you are in your living room. Wait 25 minutes and then leave. Think of it as an unpaid break, and don't let it get to you(you knew they were incapable before you walked in their door). This is 25% of all restaurants.

  32. I hate Whataburger. My first order pick up from there was fine but every order since has been a shitshow. The last one the manager came out with his jaw dropped that I was there. He told me that UberEats orders don’t get picked up often and the food gets wasted, that’s fine but dude lied and said it wouldn’t take long. It was an order for 10 burgers and it did take a long time.

  33. I cried my first day. I kept forgetting to scroll down to complete delivery and accidentally accepted another order. I felt so dumb when customer service told me to scroll down.

  34. I love this one because every time I start to put my foot in my mouth I think of this and stop lol.

  35. Yeah if your animal approaches me and you do not listen to my requests to remove it from my presence I will use a strong kick to the rib cage to remove it from my presence

  36. I truly love animals but if a shitty owner lets them come at me on my property, I will shoot it. I’m not living with a half working hand/arm/shoulder because I let my neighbor’s dog attack me. I’m not a boomer and I’m not republican. I am someone who watches loose pit bulls and German shepherds attack each other daily on my street though.

  37. Ok um I haven’t done it yet, but I have decided that for future flights I pay for the third seat in economy in a row together instead of two seats in first class for my partner and I. I don’t know how long before airlines catch on but…

  38. I was done for the night and wanted Popeye’s for dinner and I got a last minute order for Popeye’s and the delivery was near my house. Sweet! I ordered mine through their app but the cashier was so sweet or honestly didn’t care that I was picking up an UE and an app order 😂.
