  1. I was diagnosed last February at age 45. You're not alone. I also can tell for a fact that my mom has ADD; I'm also concerned that my 3-year-old nephew has ADHD like me but he's a toddler - he could be just toddlering lmao! 😂🤣😂

  2. I used to buy brads from Staples years ago. If you have a Staples near you call to see if they still sell them.

  3. Absolutely. Screenwriting is hell and I'm really thinking about giving up because I'm not having fun with it anymore. Too many gatekeepers and studios who only care about tentpole/blockbuster films and not interested original ideas. William Goldman is 100% correct. Hollywood treat screenwriters like janitors- we clean up the trash, we're invisible and nobody cares about us until they need you. This is my opinion. Sorry if I came off negative, I'm just frustrated with the system and how it treats creatives and artists.

  4. I'm gonna probably miss the deadline but I do want to finish this script. Everyone has been super enthusiastic when I mention it and this past week exploring a world without Star Wars is interesting

  5. I missed the deadline but I plan to finish the script and hopefully I can get some feedback when I post it in the screenplay section.

  6. Fell way behind with personal stuff and job search busyness, but i recently made it to 19 pages. Really hoping I can power through to make a very rough draft.

  7. Same here. I'm really cutting it close. I kept getting blocked. I outlined everything but I just kept getting stuck. Still, I'm determined to finish. Good luck and hope you finish your screenplay.

  8. I will tell you what I liked about the film- A horror film written and directed by women is still a rarity in Hollywood so I really appreciated that. I am a Black woman and I absolutely loved the fact that the main character resembled me and was one of the brides of Dracula. It's still rare to see Black final girls in horror films; there should be a lot more horror films with us in them. I liked the actress Nathalie Emmanuel in the lead role and I thought Alana Boden was great as Lucy but she didn't have much to do. I would've loved to have had more backstory of this reincarnation of Lucy, a monologue explaining how she was made by Dracula instead of the filmmakers relying on our knowledge of the lore.

  9. I'm going to be honest: I'm dealing with a lot of back pain at the moment. It is so ironic that I wanted to dedicate this weekend to writing a horror screenplay and I'm hurt. This is nothing new for me. The thing is I'm determined more than ever to finish. I have the story, the genre- I watched films, and read scripts that are similar to my movie. I know this story like the back of my hand. I just need to get it all out on the page. Tomorrow and all of next week are dedicated to the vomit draft. I wish everybody good luck with their screenplays.

  10. I have a supernatural slasher that’s set at an international sporting event. Ideas are bouncing around but the pieces aren’t connecting yet

  11. So far, I'm using Shirley Jackson's The Lottery as a reference because I'm thinking of the setting is in a small, rural town. However, I love Rosemary's Baby which took place in NYC. I'm narrowing the setting down at least. Plus I wrote 4 pages of dialogue yesterday. I'm really excited about this contest.
