I was such a "round-eyed gaijin bastard" that this concept had to be explained to me three times before I understood it.
Me? Only once. My friend? She'd buy one ticket for the first showing - then stay all day until the end of the last showing - approximately five days per week - multiplied by the number of weeks between the end of the spring semester and the beginning of the fall semester. So, six showings X five days X 12 weeks = 360 times (rough guess).
