  1. Its been a long time since y'all have had good players but retiring Purdy's number would be overboard

  2. I just remember the Bama defense being thrown around like rag dolls. Clemson had to make some spectacular catches to open the game up against ND, and once ND was down, there was no way they were coming back.

  3. Is there some sort of idea around the Notre Dame fandom that second place is equivalent to winning a title? Genuinely curious. I hear a lot of Notre Dame fans vehemently arguing about “how they didn’t lose as bad to X” like they’re debating the outcome of a Super Bowl. I’ve heard the following:

  4. It cracks me up when people are pawwllll they ain’t have to play the week before. Which is fine. As I said, I was stunned how that game played out. It was nice to know that Clemson was that superior, sure. But it’s amazing how Bama fans can have six titles in a decade and the slightest bit of criticism over one game will send you crying to mama.

  5. Glad I cracked you up. I wish I had that good of a sense of humor.

  6. If we are talking about this exact moment which is better at developing the position, OSU has a much better claim to QBU now than OU, especially if you factor in transfers in and out, how theyve developed, and current coaching situation. Day has had a hand/control of the QB room since 2017 and has worked with Joe Burrow, Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields, and now CJ Stroud.

  7. Terrell Pryor:Literally played Receiver Braxton Miller:Receiver Also Cardale Jones-Bust JT Barrett-Bust Dwayne Haskins-Bust so far Justin Fields: 6-10.

  8. This did suck in some ways for Tennessee but it does look like the program is improving for the better. This Music City Bowl win capped a dream season for Purdue. Tennessee could compete for a NY6 in a year or two. They should look to the future.

  9. I wasn’t even arguing that I was simply saying Tennessee should appreciate that they seem to be on an upward trajectory. They’ll be better next year. It’s hard to hate Purdue winning because this is obviously a great season for them.

  10. Was the whole game a trick by Bama to make Georgia underestimate them?

  11. Yes. Insiders say it was the hardest week of practice all season. Our receivers had to learn how to act covered. Our already mediocre offensive line had to learn how to let the defense in the backfield even faster, an extra difficult feat.

  12. 2005 USC, 2015 Ohio State and 2020 Bama. You gotta think it’s Saban right? There’s an argument Bama was the best team of all time or atleast the modern era. I’d say they’re the second best behind Burrow’s LSU in my opinion, but I could understand someone making a case either way

  13. LSU had more weapons on Offense but 2020 Bama’s weapons, especially with Waddle added in make that a marginal gap and their defense barring a game or two was better. Held Justin Fields, Olave, Smith Njigba and Wilson to 24 in a title game.

  14. Whenever they do shit like this I feel like we gain a higher karmic chance of winning lol.

  15. Check his Twitter. He's a grown man replying to every troll in the world. The dude is the unofficial face of Texas A&M Athletics and he goes on childish Twitter crusades.

  16. Lane Kiffin boutta post an even bigger fish after that one.

  17. I’m not a NDSU fan but this situation reminds me of one back in high school where this one school won the 8 man title every year. They had more than enough guys to play 11 man but would cut 50+players after spring practice so they could claim they didn’t have the numbers. The coaches and athletic staff never left and won accolades every year.

  18. Crazy isn’t it. Despite losing by double digits to Michigan, I think that 3 point win over a 3 loss PAC 12 team really does prove Ohio State is trending up. /s

  19. The “most thrilling win of the postseason”, a win that puts you in the same class as Oregon State, BYU and San Diego State…..who also beat Utah. No disrespect to Whittingham but there’s a big difference between losing to a stacked Georgia and needing a Herculean effort to beat Utah.

  20. This honestly makes a lot of sense. Calzada seems like a Harsin type guy and selling Caleb Williams on Auburn when he seems focused on playing QB in the NFL would’ve been difficult since they haven’t had produced a starter at QB in the NFL since Cam. But whose to say Calzada can’t change that now that he’ll be the guy.

  21. Why does the Alliance want that instead of the proposed 12-team model?

  22. The cutoff at 8 keeps out a 3rd and 4th SEC team for sure and allows another conference to get in a second team. The idea of a 12th seed beating your primary contender is a night mare to these commissioners.

  23. Maybe if Leach spent a little more time getting the guys who were going to play ready instead of bitching about those who weren't there then Mississippi State would have won.

  24. I didn’t read your comment properly because I just didn’t give a shit. Some of us have more going on than being a Reddit lord. I was just pointing out that I’m sure the opt outs affected the result.

  25. People like you absolutely crack me up. "I don't give a shit, but I'm going to take the time to comment." Sure, sure.

  26. What’s funny is when he was at Ohio State he could kill someone and stay head coach because of 2014 but now all their fans are disparaging him (as they should) because he’s not there.

  27. Fans were split about 50/50 after the Zach Smith stuff, the ones that gave Urban absolute support were the louder ones though. Many didn't read the full report about how much Urban just let Smith run wild.

  28. Yeah it seems like one where the real football crazies didn’t want to know more and were willing to make a stand from their perspective, which is built around football success. Every fan base has people like that.

  29. At least top 5. It’s probably Georgia #1, then Michigan,Oklahoma State,Baylor and Bama in no particular order.

  30. The only thing more ridiculous than anyone thinking Calzada would be good is someone saying their two top teams are Bama and Harvard.

  31. Or one is your hometown team and one is your alma mater. Might consider that idea. Not everyone picks teams at random. Some people actually went to those colleges too.

  32. That 2.8 million for the first is easy when you consider the scheduling and the difference in sizes of the fanbases between ND and Cincinnati. The other 2.6 is a little more baffling but then again NYE night is actually probably a worse timeslot than the afternoon. The casual viewer might throw on the first semi for a while and is getting ready to go out by the end. Also probably a case of people tuning in when it’s 7-3 at the end of the first in a G5-P5 semifinal game vs checking your phone and Georgia’s up 14 in the first.

  33. I’m curious what he means by “being treated like a hoodlum.” Obviously disagree with his “older guys should play regardless” sentiment.

  34. He was probably an immature asshole and was treated as such, just based on the evidence we have.

  35. Yeah I can see that. Based on these tweets he’s probably lacking in some perspective and humility.

  36. No Bo Nix actually got annihilated by us the second time he played us. Threw like 3 picks and had 6 points thru most of the game.

  37. Wait so I’m supposed to believe that the person whose job it was to put together this PowerPoint about the dangers of hoodies was unaware of Trayvon Martin? Is this a joke?
