TIL about Robert Rayford who's believed to have died from AIDS in 1969. He checked himself into the hospital and was found to have an unusually severe form of chlamydia as well as Kaposi's sarcoma, an AIDS-defining illness, and a dysfunctional immune system. AIDS wasn't identified until 1981.

Surely we knew about blood-borne illnesses in the 40s? How could any health care provider be so stupid as to share needles between people?
I work in a hospital in the lab. The older techs talk about not wearing gloves til the 80s and how they had cigs and coffee in the lab next to the instruments running blood tubes. We might have known about blood borne illnesses but they did not give a fuck about them til then
That's so fucked up
Yeah I had a moment when the tech in her late 60s said you know you had a good day based off how much blood you washed off your hands at the end of your shift.
Thatās really nice
He is a Jedi. The lab Jedi.
I was gonna say someone needs to crochet him a lightsaber
Make sure everything is tightened correctly and watch it the first few prints especially on your first big print that the filament isnt building up on the nozzle so you can avoid ending up having to replace the hot end early due to the blob destroying wires
As an uncertified tech with a biochemistry degree, itās nice to see what everyone here really thinks about us
As someone who has a Bio degree and is now certified, this place has always been like this far as Ive seen. Its even better when its in person and you run rings around the 20 yr tech and they think you shouldn't even be there.

I have a list of nurses I dont want caring for me if I ended up at my hospital somehow,. The sheer incompetency those nurses have shown is astounding
Asheronās Call had a PvE server that even if you flagged PvP, you should not loot your opponent.

That phrase basically sums up comic books in a nutshell
Anything by Ford but specifically a Ford Focus. Had a 2012 and it was the biggest piece of shit I ever owned. Stupid transmission module thing went out fucking yearly
Nice base. I love how 3D printing adds to this hobby
I think thatās tuberculosis? I know that tuberculosis has killed more people than any other disease
Both of them are fantastic at killing people
Wasn't he held back, then removed?
Yeah Iām fairly sure he was the one who was checking his phone that people criticized. He was checking on his wife via the phone They escorted him outside and took his gun away
I saw this when I was searching for teddy bear knight minis. Have you ever done anything like that?
