Frame Gen can be used with rasterization and Nvidia reflex already gives Nvidia cards less latency. I get less render latency than you with Reflex on and frame Gen on than you do with an AMD card.
My only concern with that board is the lack of a PCIe x16 gen 5 port. I know current gen GPUs don’t utilize the whole bus but I usually keep a pc for 5+ years and like to future proof.
The b650i will actually let you set pcie 5.0 on the x16 in bios and honestly would probably work, since it is a 12 layer pcb. The gigabyte board really clowns on all the others this gen

The bug was fixed with 6000 series (after too fucking long though, honestly) only h264 was worse. Also, Pimax can get fucked, that really sounds like the same arbitrary stupid limitation the other super high end headset had. There is zero reason the hardware is incompatible.
There is a fair amount of literature showing vmaf curves of HEVC being comparable out there amongst reviews and whatnot, I'm not going to argue with your personal anecdote.
