  1. There we go. I wanted to see how far I’d have to go down to find it.

  2. Whyyyy would you stand in between two giant objects with one speeding at you?! You have her info it’s not likes she’s gonna get away with it! Let her go than catch her after the fact

  3. The thing about ceasefires is, both parties have to agree to do it. If one does it and the other doesn’t, it’s just being attacked with your hands tied behind your back.

  4. The First Amendment was written explicitly to protect satire which is a form of political speech and satire has been specifically obscene since the term was first used in Ancient Greece where obscene satire was common and widely appreciated in the 3rd century BCE. Those who think you can just ban everything that they find troubling are ignorant and wrong.

  5. How did I have to scroll so far before I saw this. Unreal.

  6. This was always my favorite ride at any carnival I went to. I'd get upside down, I'd try to do situps and pushups. I tried standing like this one time and by the time I got my legs almost straight, the G forces made my entire body smack right back down against the wall.

  7. Now that I’m older, I can’t handle this kinda stuff anymore, which is weird. When I was younger, no problem whatsoever. In my late early 30’s though, I tried to do a bunch of rides in quick succession and it fuuuuuucked me up for the rest of the day. I also seem to get car sick easier too I think, because I could stare at my game boy in the car and play Pokémon forever and never got sick, but if I try reading something for more than a minute now I get super sick. I took family to Disneyland and the teacups made me slightly sick 😒

  9. I didn’t know I could. I thought that was only for booze and pharmacy.

  10. One element of corrections is to physically segregate that person from society so they can’t harm anyone for the time of their sentence. Another is deterrence. A sentence serves as a warning to others in society who may victimize others, to not do those things. Finally, retribution gives some small measure of justice to the families or loved one of victims of crime. You’re only concentrating on rehabilitation in this statement.

  11. I guess he lacked the courage of his convictions

  12. This person has never worked with Chinese “military”. Conscript, unprofessional, and poorly trained, and falling asleep on the job. They suck. They don’t even have matching uniforms and shit, unprofessional as hell.

  13. What’s wrong with that? I have underage daughters and wait for them outside the bathroom too. I’m not gonna trust to let them go in where I can’t see them and leave. Seen too many news stories of pedos is bathroom.

  14. No. What I was saying is that a lot of the US defence spending is irrelevant to NATO, like everything they do outside Europe. Whereas Germany's or Poland's defence spending could more reasonably by seen as fully geared towards NATO use. So much of US defence spending is based in Japan and Korea and aimed at China and North Korea. There is no equivalent in other NATO countries, of massive spending aimed at a different theatre.

  15. NATO agreement doesn’t distinguish between monies spent in the geographical proximity to Russia, or monies spent elsewhere. Money is a fungible asset. If I’m spending money in one place, I no longer have that money to spend elsewhere. If France spends money on warships which are sometimes in the Pacific theater, that money is still in the figure total for NATO spending. The ship still exists even if it’s not in the vicinity of Russia, and it still contributes towards Frances defense, and the defense of its NATO allies. Additionally, even money spent on something which doesn’t DIRECTLY influence the area around Russia, can still indirectly affect the world.

  16. Yeah I know the agreement doesn't specify that, but just think in realistic terms. If there's a war in Europe, France will recall all its warships for defence of Europe. Every military asset owned by Europeans will be in NATO service. Do you think the US will send its entire pacific fleet to Europe and abandon its hundreds of Asian bases? Hell no. So it's a mischatacterisation to say the entire US military budget is for NATO, whereas it's accurate to say 100% of Poland's or Germany's military spending is for NATO.

  17. Man, I just don’t get the point of this rage bait. That there are a tiny minority of morons who would post this kinda of crap? I think everyone knows that, this just feels like it’s intentional to anger people.

  18. No it doesn’t. You’re being knowingly and willfully dishonest.

  19. Even worse than capitalist greed, communism breeds ideological purity greed. Look at the majority of Communism's victims, and you'll see communists who subscribe to a different form of communism. Ideological repression is the worst form of repression in my opinion because your actions don't matter, only the perceived motivations behind your actions.

  20. I’m currently sitting on a toilet with people to either side and trying so hard not to laugh, but I probably sound like I’m having an asthma attack.

  21. I see you wife is Asian, probably Japanese? My wife counts money like that, as does everyone in Japan. I’m jealous of it because it sounds cool when she does it and makes a “snap” every bill she counts. I’ve tried, but I can’t do it as good…

  22. Because I don’t want a giant wet rotting layer of leaves that kills everything underneath it?

  23. How often do you plan on replacing?

  24. I heard heard after 2-3 months since it’s duller at the microscopic level and for hygiene. I figure I figure I’ll get another at about 3 months.

  25. Yes, you can fast as long as you have calories stored as body fat. The issue is vitamins and electrolytes of course, so at a certain point you’re gonna feel crappy and get bad cramps. I’ve fasted for multiple weeks before with nothing but calorie free drinks and electrolytes and an occasional multi vitamin for good measure. I cut like 15kg, but I could have kept going. Be warned, it’s not a pleasant experience. At a certain point I wasn’t sleeping well, it’s like my body was trying to wake me up telling “hey dummy you’re starving go out and find us some food!”

  26. Crime in SF is at a 14 year low. In many categories an all time low. If you remove less than 1% of SF it is safest big city in world.

  27. Yeah, keep telling yourself that. It’s not reported, because it’s not charged. On paper, it’s fantastic “guys, crime is so low!” The city doesn’t prosecute so there’s no point in arresting and charging.

  28. If someone has a disability and it effects their ability to work…

  29. “Those are the facts. They aren’t debatable”

  30. Thank you. Moreover, he is not a loser for failing to succeed at anything by 40. Life is hard, the world is cruel, and nobody gets out of it alive and unharmed. People deserve compassion, not judgement when they fail to succeed.

  31. Jesus, thank you. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading these comments. I kept scrolling further and further down thinking “surely, someone is rational down here” but I had to go so, so far down.
